🧶 Frequently Asked Questions
🧸 Can beginners crochet these Stacking Toys?
Every pattern is written in a clear, beginner-friendly style, but it does require basic knowledge of how to read a crochet pattern (common stitches and abbreviations).
To make the process easy, each pattern includes very detailed instructions and fully illustrated step-by-step photos, so you always know exactly what to do next - even if it’s your first time making a stacking toy. 🧶

🏷️ Can I sell toys made from these patterns?
Yes! Feel free to sell the finished toys. Just kindly credit me as the designer: Grace – icancrochet.com 💖
🧶 What type of yarn, weight, and tools do I need?
Don't worry, every single pattern includes a dedicated materials list! It covers the exact type of yarn, yarn weight, crochet hook sizes, and any other tools you will need to bring your characters to life.
🎄 A quick note on the Christmas patterns: These are the only patterns that do not list the exact yarn weight (I didn't have a scale when I was making them!).
⚙️ Do I need to buy wooden dowels or special parts for them to stack?
Nope! You do not need any hard plastic rings, wooden dowels, or dangerous armatures.
The patterns will teach you how to crochet the soft central base and the individual rings so the entire stacking mechanism is made completely out of yarn and polyfill stuffing. It keeps the toys safe, washable, and huggable!
💖 Do you offer a guarantee?
I am so confident you will love making these characters that I stand behind my patterns 100%.
If you buy my bundle, try the patterns, and find them too difficult to follow, just email me at support@icancrochet.com within 30 days. I personally reply within 24 hours and will do everything I can to help you - or issue a full refund. I want you to be completely happy with your crochet journey!
📏 What are the sizes of the finished toys?
The finished characters are designed to be a substantial size so little ones can easily hold, stack, and play with them! Depending on the character, they generally range between 8 to 14 inches (20 to 36 cm) tall and 6 to 14.5 inches (15 to 37 cm) wide.
This makes them perfect as:
- 🧸 Fun, interactive children's toys
- 🎁 Meaningful handmade gifts
- 🧶 Cute decorative nursery pieces
*Exact measurements for each character are included inside the patterns.
🌎 Are the patterns available in other languages?
All patterns are written in English using standard US crochet terms.
Each step is explained clearly and supported with detailed, full-color photos, making them easy to follow even if English is not your first language.
As long as you’re familiar with basic US crochet terms, you’ll be able to follow along with ease. 🧶
